Its slightly raised position with respect to the beach means that most customers can enjoy, directly from their terraces, a suggestive view of Kendwa bay, undoubtedly one of the most enchanting in Zanzibar, with its deep white sandy beach, almost blinding when the sun shines. The beach is only 250 meters away and can be easily reached by a path that crosses the local village. For the laziest there is a local folk bus that goes back and forth to the beach all day. We recall that finding ourselves on the north-western side of the island, the one facing the continent, the tidal phenomenon is noticeably weakened, which allows bathing during the whole day. Although the all-inclusive program foresees that the main meals are enjoyed in the facility, at the Palumbo Beach Club (250 meters away) it is possible to spend most of the day relaxing, taking advantage of the morning snack and the tea time of the 17, as well as all the drinks included in the treatment. If after so much relaxation you are looking for some fun you will not be disappointed. Zanzibar can certainly not be defined as the paradise of night life, but there are plenty of opportunities for recreation outside the structure, especially after sunset. Among the unmissable parties Margò recommends the Full Moon parties that are repeated on the beach at each full moon and, among the best known, certainly the one at the Kendwa Rocks, just 50 meters from Palumbo Beach and rich in dancing and concerts. If you are not lucky enough to be here on the full moon, know that Saturday is still its top night. Otherwise, moving to nearby Nungwi, just 4 kilometers away, which can be easily reached by taxi, you can find other cafes, all strictly on the beach, where you can dance barefoot on the sand. Among these we mention the Gerry's bar, famous for its excellent cocktails and lounge music, or, for those looking for a more lively environment, the Cholos bar, whose main evening is Thursday night! The Nungwi fishing village, on the extreme northern tip of the island, is well worth a visit even during the day, not only because of its local craft shops and its characteristic fish market, but above all for its beach, which is it extends to 180 degrees on the perimeter of the village allowing to pass from the western slope, not subject to the phenomenon of the tides, to the eastern one, where every 6 hours you can admire the water withdrawing to let marvelous backdrops rich of exotic inhabitants, from the starfish, emerge. to the corals, and to some nice hermit crab.
